Step-By-Step guide for cleaning Bathroom

Cleaning the Grout in Bathroom

Grouts in a bathroom seems unpleasant and cleaning those can be an unbearable task. Here we are providing some eco-friendly cleaning tips that can make your least favourite cleaning task an easy one. Follow these steps to clean the grout in your bathroom:

• Step 1- First spray a 1:1 solution of vinegar and warm water on the grouts, then leave it for about 5-10 minutes. Now take a grout scrub brush or toothbrush and rub it thoroughly to clean all the dirt present in it. Then wash it with the help of warm water.

• Step 2- After this, apply a paste of baking soda into the grout and spray a solution of water and vinegar on it. This will form bubbles, now rub the grout with the help of grout scrub, you can also use a spare toothbrush to clean the fine lining of grout. Now wash the surface with warm water.

Note - If you have tough Grout stains in your bathroom, you can use Hydrogen Peroxide to easily remove mild grout stains.

Cleaning Your Toilet Area 

Toilet area and toilet seat can become home to many dangerous bacterias, if it is not properly cleaned. Cleaning toilet area includes cleaning of commode, floor, wash basins and taps. Here we are providing some green cleaning instructions to ensure you have a neat and clean toilet area:

• First start with cleaning the bowl. For this you need to apply bowl cleaners (Harpic or Lysol) in the bowl as well as under the rim and scrub it thoroughly using a toilet brush or scrubber. Now leave the bowl for 10-20 minutes.

• In the mean time, you can clean the outer surface of the toilet such as tank with the help of warm soapy water. You can also use various disinfectants near the toilet seat as it can kill the bacterias and germs present near it.

• Now open the lid and apply disinfectant into the bowl and on the rim of the toilet and scrub the bowl once again and wash it thoroughly with the help of warm water.

Cleaning Bathtub

If you are using chemicals for cleaning your bathroom, then first it is important to know the material from which your bathtub has been made. Is it an Acrylic tub or a Porcelain tub or an Enamel tub. But if you are using natural or eco-friendly cleaning material, then you can move forward without any second thought.

Steps to clean your bathtub:

• Always rinse your tub with warm water immediately after taking a bath and wipe off the whole bathtub with the help of microfibre cloth.

• For a deeper cleaning, you can even use a solution of half vinegar and half warm water. Fill this solution in a spray bottle and apply it on the surface of the tub, leave it for 10-15 minutes. After 15 minutes rinse the tub with the warm water again and wipe it. 

• If there are mild stains on the bathtub, then apply a paste of baking soda and vinegar on those stains and leave it for 15 minutes and then rinse it with warm water.
